Early Application Review Deadlines

All completed applications by 12:01am on the above dates will be sent to the Graduate Committee for an early review of the application file. A completed application file means that all three letters of reference are received and all supporting documents are uploaded and meet the document requirements. Applicants will receive an email if their file is part of the early application review pool of files. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure all documents and letters of reference are received before the early application review deadlines as the published document and letter of reference deadlines in the application portal will be the end of the application period.

Program Start Date

  • Students with a common law degree can start in May or September.
  • Students without formal common law training must start in May.  The May start date allows time for the completion of foundational courses in Canadian law. These courses are required before the advanced graduate or upper-year J.D. courses offered in September.
