Welcome to the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies (CFLS)!
The Centre for Feminist Legal Studies, founded in 1997, is an academic centre dedicated to fostering inclusive feminist engagement at UBC. The CFLS provides diverse opportunities for students, scholars, and the wider feminist legal community to come together, build networks, collaborate on research, and exchange ideas in and outside the classroom.
The CFLS has been significant in ensuring that feminist issues remain visible at the Allard School of Law and that the law school remains connected to feminist advocacy and scholarship in the larger community. We further support the law school by providing volunteer opportunities for students, events, academic support, and a welcoming, trans-inclusive space.
All students, faculty, and staff who support the aims of a feminist centre are welcome to become involved. We invite you to join our mailing list or follow us on social media to stay updated on events and initiatives.
