As an Online Learning student, you have the flexibility to choose courses that suit your needs. There are no required courses and no obligation to register in a minimum number of credits. All our courses are pre-approved by the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) to meet their requirements. See details for NCA equivalent subjects under Course Descriptions. Some OLA courses will count for two NCA course units because they are equivalent to one full-year Canadian law school course. For students trained outside of the common-law and needing to complete four subjects before NCA Assessment, please email distancelearning@allard.ubc.ca for more information.
Our courses are asynchronous directed self study courses, allowing students the flexibility to complete the subject material at a time that works best for their schedule.
