Students

The Centre for Feminist Legal Studies (CFLS) supports students by providing a safe and inclusive space, networking opportunities, services, and events that pay particular attention to the issues caused by systemic forms of marginalization.

The CFLS also adjudicates several awards for J.D. students and our faculty affiliates offer feminist law courses each year. There are also numerous student clubs that collaborate with the CFLS to organize events and activities for students interested in feminist work in the legal community. Students are invited to make use of the student lounge (Marlee Kline Room, Allard Hall 424), which contains a library with work from various feminist scholars and is a great space to relax or study.

Students of all genders, identities, and orientations who support the aims of a feminist centre and who value equity and social justice are welcome to become involved in the CFLS community.
