Visiting Graduate Students

We welcome visiting graduate students from other universities for periods of up to one year.

All visiting graduate students require a full-time faculty member as sponsor. Please consult the faculty member profiles to identify possible faculty sponsors and then contact them to see if they are willing to act as your sponsor.

Application information for students registered in graduate degree programs at other Canadian universities is available on the UBC Graduate School website.

Information for students registered in graduate degree programs at international universities is available on the UBC Graduate School website.

Resources

All visiting students have access to the campus-wide WI/FI and to the library system (including electronic resources). Visiting graduate students will also have access to the graduate student lounge and study area. If space is available, we will provide an open-access carrel in the UBC Law Library.

The UBC Graduate Student International Research Mobility Award provides up to $1500 for graduate students at other institutions to conduct research at UBC.

Visitors are responsible for finding accommodation. Information on accommodation is available on the UBC Conferences website.

If you have additional questions, please contact the Graduate Program at graduates@allard.ubc.ca.
