  • Tory Brown

    Career Advisor, Career Services Office

    Tory is a Career Advisor in the Career Services Office. She provides career advising to Allard students and recent alumni, and assists with planning the CSO’s annual programming and resources. She works closely with the legal, business and non-profit community to identify recruitment opportunities for Allard students and alumni. She received her B.A. from St. Francis Xavier University and her J.D. with a specialization in social justice from the University of Ottawa. Tory was called to the Bar in Ontario and British Columbia in 2021.

  • Fernanda Bruce (on leave)

    Student Wellbeing Counsellor

    Fernanda received her BA in Psychology and MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and is a registered clinical counsellor through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She has worked with different populations in a variety of settings. Most recently, she worked at Vancouver General Hospital, where she provided individual and group therapy to high-risk populations.

  • Peter Burns

    Dean Emeritus

    Professor Peter Burns, Q.C., was called to the Bar of B.C. in 1975 and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1984. From 1982-91, Professor Burns served as Dean of the Allard School of Law. He has also served on the B.C. Law Reform Commission (1985-92) and the B.C. Forest Resources Commission (1990-91) and was a board member of the B.C. International Commercial Arbitration Centre from 1986 to 1996.

    Cheyenne is Dene and a member of the Fort Nelson First Nation. Cheyenne is a third year law student at Allard and serves on the Indigenous Law Students’ Association as 2022/2023 Co-president. Cheyenne holds a Bachelor of Arts in First Nations Studies (2010) and a Bachelor of Education (2014) from the University of Northern British Columbia.
