  • Pitman Potter

    Professor (Emeritus)
    Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada; Member, Order of Canada

    Pitman Potter retired from UBC in 2020.  Prior to his retirement, Potter served in various roles at Allard Hall, including as Director of Chinese Legal Studies, Director of Asian Legal Studies, Director of the Graduate Program, and Associate Dean. Potter also served as Director of UBC’s Institute of Asian Research during 1999-2008, where he held the HSBC Chair in Asian Research (1999- 2016).

  • Lisa Ramasami

    Legal Assistant

    Lisa is a dedicated Legal Assistant at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic. Her journey in the legal profession started in Toronto, where she completed her Paralegal Diploma at Humber College, subsequently becoming a licensed Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario. Since then, she has grown and contributed her skills to the in-house legal teams of companies in the Cybersecurity and Wood Products industry, focusing on corporate governance and commercial contracts, and in law firms such as Torys LLP and Chatarpaul & Associates.

  • Robert Reid C.D.

    Associate Professor Emeritus of Law

    Robert (Bob) Stewart Reid was called to Bar of B.C., 1975, the same year he joined the Allard School of Law. He was named Assistant Dean of Career Placement and Admissions in 1993. He retired in 2003.

  • Graham Reynolds

    Associate Professor
    Associate Dean, Research and International

    Dr. Graham J. Reynolds teaches and researches in the areas of copyright law, intellectual property law, property law, intellectual property and human rights, and technology and access to justice. His current research focus is the intersection of intellectual property and human rights, as well as the relationship between intellectual property and social justice.

  • Andrew Rigsby

    Data Access and Engagement Manager, Housing Research Collaborative & Housing Assessment Resource Tools

    Andrew received his BA (Economics) from Queen’s University and MSc (Management) from the Smith School of Business. He has worked for a federal crown corp. in the oil & gas industry based out of Calgary, for an eyewear manufacturer in Amsterdam, and most recently as a Data Access Coordinator for Population Data BC, part of UBC’s Faculty of Medicine. He is a flexible administrator who enjoys helping teams identify and solve problems.

  • Sam Roberts

    Communications Officer
    Housing Research Collaborative; Housing Assessment Resource Tools project

    Sam leads communications for the Housing Assessment Resource Tools (HART) project. She has experience across a number of industries including fine art, professional services, medicine, and community development. Prior to joining HART, she managed communications and business development for a firm in the UK. She currently volunteers her time with a local rowing club and a Toronto-based literary magazine. Sam is thrilled to join the team at HART and UBC, especially given her particular interest in affordable housing and housing justice.

  • Supriya Routh

    Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Labour Law & Social Justice

    Supriya Routh is an Associate Professor at the Allard School of Law. His research interests include theory of labour and employment law, legitimacy of law-making for sustainable livelihoods, social justice and global value chains, postcolonialism and informal workers in the Global South, human rights and international labour law, and workers’ collective action. His socio-legal research agenda straddles the disciplines of law, political philosophy, and sociology.

  • Robert Russo

    Lecturer

    Dr. Russo obtained his LLB, LLM and PhD degrees from the Allard School of Law.  His research has been primarily in the area of immigration and labour/employment law and he has published several peer-reviewed articles in this field.  He joined UBC as a part-time faculty member in 2017 and was appointed a full-time Faculty Lead Lecturer for the LLMCL program in 2018.  He has subsequently guided the teaching for the Distance Learning and LLMCL programs as well as teaching in the first-year J.D. program.  He has also designed and taught online courses in in Torts and Public Law.
