M.A. (Tony) Hickling was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1972. Professor Hickling taught at University of London, King's College from 1960-66 before joining the Allard School of Law as Associate Professor. He moved to the University of Western Ontario as Professor of Law in 1969 and returned to UBC as Professor in 1974.
Professor Hickling has also held visiting appointments or sabbatical leaves at Australian National University, University of Kent at Canterbury, University of Melbourne and Wolfson College, Oxford. He founded, and for many years, edited Western Arbitration Cases and served as an arbitrator in many areas of industry. Professor Hickling's fields of interest are Contracts, Labour Law, Employment Law, and Unemployment Insurance Law.
