Profile
Lisa is an experienced litigation lawyer who has practised in Vancouver for more than 25 years. She has acted as counsel on behalf of the Province of B.C., companies both large and small, and many individuals. She has also served as commission counsel on a number of BC public inquiries and as criminal defence counsel for youth in care. Lisa is a graduate of the UBC Faculty of Law and returned to the law school to teach in January 2021, keen to share with law students some of what she learned in practice and to help them bridge the gap between law school and whatever legal work their degree leads them to. She supervises the Judicial Externship program and teaches both the associated Reflection seminar and Legal Ethics & Professionalism. Lisa also has experience and an interest in teaching dispute resolution and in assisting with the first year and upper year mooting programs.
