This presentation will provide an overview of an ongoing research project examining the phenomenon of resident-led collective sales (land assemblies) in Vancouver and in Sydney, Australia, which is being undertaken by researchers from the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University in Sydney.

Join an intimate gathering with your fellow law school alumni to listen to the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, in conversation with Allard Law’s Professor Margot Young, Director of the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies. Conversation will focus on Beverley McLachlin’s recently published autobiography, Truth Be Told: My Journey through Life and the Law.

This conference is a launch event for the Canadian branch of ICON-S and it is the first in what the organizers hope will be a series of events on constitutional law co-hosted by UBC’s Allard School of Law and the University of Alberta’s Centre for Constitutional Studies.
