Event Description
Are you the first in your family to obtain a post-secondary education, and wondering how to navigate law school and set yourself up for success in your legal career? If so, the CSO and the First Generation Student Program invite you to attend our “First-Gen Lawyering 101” panel happening on March 6th, at 12:30 pm in Room 104 of Allard Hall. At the event, you will hear from several first-generation (“first-gen”) lawyers in various practice areas, at different stages in their careers. The lawyers will provide insight into how they overcame barriers commonly faced by first-gen students and lawyers, what motivated them to fulfill their aspirations, what they would have done differently in their career journeys, and so much more. Lunch will be provided.
Panel organized by: Tinashe Muzah, Huba Arif and Grace Bian (Careers Committee), and Lukasz Kruszewski and Charles Ding (First Generation Student Program)
