Megan Thompson

Megan is a Métis 3L student who is the ILS Coach for the ILS Academic Leadership Certificate for the 2023-2024 year. Her Métis family names are Delaronde and Morin and her Red River Métis ancestors primarily come from Northern Saskatchewan. She was raised Treaty 6 & 7 territory (Red Deer, AB) and on the unceded lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples (Victoria, BC). She has both a BA in Hispanic Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Language Revitalization from University of Victoria. This past year she was a RA for Professor Graham Reynolds researching Indigenous IP.
