The Peter A. Allard School of Law is pleased to announce a generous donation by the estate of Ms. Ellen Mary “Penny” O’Donnell to provide bursary funding for JD students who demonstrate financial need.
We’re delighted to announce that Professor Isabel Grant has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. The fellowship comprises over 2000 Canadian scholars, artists, and scientists, peer-elected as the best in their field.
The UBC Innocence Project at the Peter A. Allard School of Law respects the decision of the British Columbia Court of Appeal in the case of R. v. Tallio, made on Aug. 19, 2021. The case of Phillip James Tallio is one of many the Project has worked on since it was established in 2007, with the aim of engaging selected law students to review claims of wrongful conviction in B.C.
