Wellbeing Wednesdays is an event series presented by Student Wellbeing. This series includes informative passive and active events focusing each month on one of the 6 elements of law student wellbeing:
September: Social Wellbeing
October: Emotional Wellbeing
November: Occupational Wellbeing
January: Intellectual Wellbeing
February: Physical Wellbeing
March: Spiritual Wellbeing
During the lunch period, law students of all years are invited to meet Andrea Falco, Student Wellbeing Counsellor for activities and resources to help promote the monthly wellbeing focus in their lives.
Today's Session:
September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. This day was established with the World Health Organization in 2003 to end stigma and increase awareness about suicide. The 2023 theme - "creating hope through action" - reminds us that there are alternatives to suicide, and that all acts of support towards others may provide hope to those who are struggling with mental health.
In recognition of this day of recognition, Andrea will be available to meet in the Franklin Lew Forum for resources and conversations on Suicide Awareness.
