Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt

Event Description

Hey 1Ls! The Law Students' Society (LSS) is inviting you to join in the annual Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt on Monday, September 9th 2024. 

Team up in groups of 6-7 players to complete challenges across UBC campus, starting with check-in at Allard Hall from 3:30-4:00 pm for a 4:00 pm race start time. The hunt will be followed by a reception at the Nest Patio - a great opportunity to interact with lawyers from Stikeman Elliott, unwind with your teammates, and connect with your peers. 

There will be prizes for the winners, including a Spirit Prize for the most outgoing team - so we encourage you to form teams with a name, cheer, costume, etc. in order to have a good shot at the Spirit Prize! Teams will be co-ed, and you can sign up as an individual and be assigned as a team to meet new friends, or request to be put on a team to build on the relationships started during Orientation Week! Registration will be open until 5:00pm on September 6th but we encourage you to register early to secure your team. Tickets will go live on Tuesday, September 3rd at 12:30pm. 

Event participants must complete a waiver in order to participate in the Scavenger Hunt. The link to the waiver can be found on the Showpass page.

This waiver must be electronically signed and sent to students@ubclss.com with the subject line "Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt - Waiver." Registrants who are unable to electronically sign the waiver are asked to print and sign the waiver and bring this with them to check-in on September 9th. Completion will be monitored. 

Please bring your ID with you and wear comfortable clothing and good shoes as the hunt requires walking and active challenges. You will be responsible for your own belongings during the course of the hunt.

2L volunteers are also needed! Please RSVP to students@ubclss.com if you would like to help run a station. Upper-year students are welcome to attend the reception, and can RSVP through this event page as well. Registration for upper-years will also be open until 5:00pm on September 6th.
