Florence Ashley

Florence Ashley (they/them) is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre. Florence was the first openly transfeminine law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada, in 2019-2020. They are widely-published in law, medical ethics, and other fields related to trans studies—with publications in Nature, the University of Toronto Law Review, the McGill Law Journal, and the Journal of Medical Ethics.
