In collaboration with the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), the Tax Law Club will be hosting a presentation on in-house careers at pension funds. We will be joined by:

• Jennifer Manning – Senior Counsel, Legal
BCI is one of the largest asset managers in Canada—with roughly $233 billion in gross assets under management—and is based in Victoria, BC, with additional offices in Vancouver, New York, and London. Their diversified portfolio includes assets around the globe and in every asset class, including public equities, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and fixed income.
The presentation will cover the day-to-day work of in-house lawyers at pension funds—both corporate lawyers and tax lawyers—as well as the typical career trajectory leading to these roles. The presentation will also cover BCI’s summer positions for law students.
