Peter A Allard School of Law

Networking 101

Event Description

Invited to your first networking event and not sure what to do? Looking to brush up on your networking skills in advance of OCIs? Attend the CSO's first ever Speed Networking event, where students will have the chance to hone their networking skills and hear tips from professional lawyer coach Paula Price and the CSO!

Students will mingle with Paula, the CSO, and members of Allard staff in a "speed networking" session, where students can practice asking questions and making small talk in both one-on-one and group settings Students will also get to hear networking tips and feedback from Paula, the CSO, and Allard staff. This is a low-stakes, no pressure environment, as there will be NO employers in attendance. You don't need to be afraid of making any networking "gaffes" or awkward silences (we've all been there!) - instead, this event is a chance for you to practice how to navigate through these gaffes and silences smoothly.
