International Law Lounge: Career Panel and Mixer

Event Description

The International Law Society is excited to introduce our first event of the year, which is a career panel and social. Hear the following speakers discuss how they successfully pursued a career in the field:

  • Dr. Michael Byers, PhD. - UBC Professor of Political Science, Canada Research Chair in Global Politics and International Law, and Co-Director of the Outer Space Institute
  • Nicole Barrett - Associate Professor of Teaching at Allard and Director of the International Justice and Human Rights Clinic
  • Lily Wang - Vancouver-based lawyer with previous internships at the ICC+CRC and international articling exeperience 

The panel will be followed by an hour of networking with fellow students who are interested in international law, including "featured guest" students who have international experience and would be happy to discuss their experiences with you. International food, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
