Event Description
The Annual Indigenous Law Students' Association (ILSA) Charity Gala is meant to acknowledge the great work of Indigenous law students and faculty at Allard Law. The event is attended both by law students, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, as well as members of the broader legal community. There is a silent auction and all proceeds go towards the ILSA bursary to support Indigenous law students for many years to come. The Gala is a chance to build community and recognize the amazing contributions Indigenous law students and lawyers have made to the legal community by awarding the Courage in Law award.
The event will be reception-style and hosted at the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art. There will be appetizers circulated as well as stationary platters of food. There will be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available. There will also be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage choices. The dress code for the Gala is business, but traditional regalia is encouraged to be worn as well.
