Event Description
The Indigenous Legal Studies team at Peter Allard School of Law invites you to our March speaker series event featuring Dom Bautista and Nancy Smith.
The Amici Curiae Society (Italian for Friends of Court) is a charity that provides British Columbians with public legal information and form filling assistance regardless of their means for free. They provide trauma-informed services based on the principle of equal access to legal services regardless of your means.
Amici Curiae offers lectures and confidential workshops that help the public complete the paperwork necessary to present a matter to a court or a tribunal. It is powered by paralegals, newly called lawyers, law school students, law librarians and law accountants, supervised by lawyers and supported by the profession. Legal advice is limited to completing legal forms.
Join us to learn about their work on Indigenous matters and how you can get involved!
A limited number of lunches will be available.
