Description of Event:
This seminar will review how to uncover all of those "unposted" summer law and articling positions outside of the structured recruit! Hear from members of the CSO as well as former students who successfully found summer and articling positions outside of the structured recruit on topics such as:
- Why many legal employers hire through word-of-mouth, rather than through formal job postings
- Tips for applying for unposted positions, including how to network, conduct informational interviews, and send out cold applications;
- Where to look for a summer job or articling position beyond the posted positions;
- and How to develop a timeline and determine the next steps to take.
