Event Description
Articling with the BC Prosecution Service presents a unique opportunity for students who are interested in criminal litigation to get hands-on and in-court experience running their own trials, assisting with trials, conducting bail and sentencing hearings, and doing the work of Crown Counsel. The work is meaningful and varied. Students, depending on the location in the Province where they work, may have the opportunity to work on a circuit court, assist with appeals, or work in a specialized court. At this session you will hear about what the articling experience with the BC Prosecution Service is like. You will also learn about the nuts and bolts of the hiring process including: key dates, the application process, what we are looking for in students, and what the interview process is like. There will be an opportunity for questions.
