After a year of consultation, sharing and discussion around what our objectives and ambitions might be over the next five years, we are ready to release a complete draft strategic plan for review and comment, in preparation for our third and final community-wide strategic planning retreat on March 10. The draft plan includes a statement of our vision, purpose and values as a law school, as well as specifying specific goals and actions to achieve success in our core areas of learning, research, community building and external engagement.
The draft strategic plan has been developed through the input and participation of faculty, staff and students across multiple events and meetings held over the year. We have heard a range of student perspectives through a student town hall and two separate surveys, through student participation at our community-wide retreats in September and January, and via student representatives on the strategic planning steering committee and on our working group.
The format for the March 10 event will be a town hall Q&A. Participants can submit questions or comments ahead of time anonymously, which others can ‘up-vote’ if they think it is particularly important to address.
