Description:
Join us for a lively discussion on effective climate governance, impact investing, and the philanthropic sector. For a long time, foundations have separated their grant-making function from their investment function. These two aspects of foundation management are increasingly coming together as investments can have a big impact on the causes they support. Participation of boards, investment committee members, and staff is highly encouraged.
In partnership with the Canada Climate Law Initiative, Rosalie Vendette, Associate at Quinn & Partners, and Eric St-Pierre, Executive Director at the Trottier Family Foundation, will discuss climate risk, impact investing in practice, fiduciary obligations with respect to climate change, and how a board can effectively govern with a climate lens.
