The UBC Career Centre is excited to bring you a mentorship and networking opportunity to connect with UBC alumna, Leyla Salmi. This event is open to all students and alumni.
Leyla is a lawyer working in Vancouver. She specializes in construction litigation and works for one of the largest construction companies in Canada. Leyla grew up in Richmond and graduated from UBC in 2016 after completing her degree in biology and Spanish. She then attended the University of Victoria for law school. Leyla has practiced at leading national and regional law firms. Leyla regularly mentors undergraduate students and law students. In this presentation, Leyla will discuss some of the unique challenges that women face in law, and provides insight into lessons learned.
