1L Negotiation Competition

Networking with a twist!

Dentons, one of the world's largest law firms is hosting a virtual negotiation competition on January 26th. The virtual negotiation will consist of a 50-minute negotiation session between two teams of two students. Each team represents a fictional client. Teams are marked on their negotiation style and approach to reaching a negotiated outcome. Judges, lawyers who work in Denton's Vancouver office, will discuss feedback with teams, and winners will be announced following the competition.

Competition fact pattern and confidential facts will be released by January 12, 2021. Students typically spend approximately five hours preparing for this competition. This gives students two weeks to prepare for the negotiation.

This is a great opportunity to hone your negotiation skills and make a great 1st impression on one of the larger legal employers in the Vancouver marketplace.

How To RSVP:

Registration will be open from January 4-8 with one person registering for the competition on behalf of each two-person team.
