Promoting Gender Equality in Parenting Assessments: A Virtual Launch of Rise Women’s Legal Centre’s Section 211 Toolkit

Psychological assessments conducted under s. 211 of the Family Law Act are crucial to court decisions about parenting, particularly where there is family violence. This new resource highlights the gender equality issues at stake in these reports, provides tools for lawyers in addressing those issues, and recommends standards and guidelines in keeping with international and Canadian research.
