Oct 14, 2020

In this timely and unique book, Brenna Bhandar and Rafeef Ziadah trace forty years of anti-racist feminist thought by interviewing key revolutionary thinkers such as Angela Y. Davis and Sylvia Federici. Collectively, these interviews with leading scholars trace the ways in which Black, Indigenous, post-colonial and Marxian feminisms have created new ways of seeing, new theoretical frameworks for analysing political problems, and new ways of relating to one another. At this online event on October 14, 2020, we heard from the book’s authors and three of the interviewees: Avtar Brah, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, and Avery Gordon.
