Graduate Careers Panel: Making the Most Out of Career Fairs and Networking Events as an NCA Candidate

Event Description

Panel with recruiters + LLM CL alumni (with informal Q&A session with panelists from 2-3pm in Graduate Student Lounge)

How do you stand out as a graduate law student and NCA candidate when attending networking events? Hear from this panel of large law firm recruiters and LLM CL alumni on how to navigate the upcoming CSO career fairs and other employer networking events. Learn how to translate your background, highlight your strengths, and get to know the many employer reps and future colleagues that you will meet at these networking events. Depending on panelist availability, there may be an opportunity for informal Q&A with the panelists in the graduate student lounge from 2pm-3pm. Regardless of whether you are job-searching via an unposted job search, ad hoc job postings, or the structured recruit, the advice that this panel will share will be broadly applicable for networking with all Canadian legal employers. This careers panel is exclusively for graduate law students who are completing the NCA process and who want to practice law in Canada, and will be recorded and posted on ACE for students who cannot attend in-person.
