Are you interested in traditional private practice but also in working in the public interest? Not sure that you're interested in working for a non-profit organization, but you want to incorporate social justice-oriented causes into your work?  If so, this panel is for you! Featuring:

  • Morgan Camley: partner at Miller Thomson practicing in the areas of Aboriginal and Regulatory law.  Morgan has received awards for her pro bono service and community leadership, is Board Chair of QMUNITY, BC’s Queer, Trans and Two-Spirited Resource Center, and a Director of Access Pro Bono BC.
  • Jodie Gauthier: associate at union-side labour firm, Koskie Glavin Gordon. Jody articled at a the BC Public Interest Advocacy Centre, is a Director of the Vancouver Association for the Survivors of Torture (VAST), and has volunteered with Pivot and West Coast LEAF.
  • Bibhas Vaze: a human rights sole practitioner with a broadbased criminal practice and generally engages in civil litigation against public authorities, particularly in the area of prison justice. Bibhas received his LL. M from Columbia Law School, where he was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
