Tuition & Fees

The Distance Learning Program charges tuition on a per-credit basis. The fees are available in the table below.  These fees are effective beginning May 1st, 2020.

For access studies and unclassified students, detailed information on application and student fees, as applicable, can be found on UBC's Non-Degree Studies' website.  Access studies (or unclassified) students also taking in-person courses at UBC may be subject to additional student fees.  Students outside of Vancouver may also be charged an exam invigilation fee (approximately $50).

Students enrolled in the Master of Laws (Common Law) Program are not subject to application fees for Distance Learning Program courses taken during their Program, but may be required to pay additional student fees (see Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies' website for detailed information on graduate student fees).

All students registered in online courses are urged to pay their tuition and fees in a timely manner via UBC's Student Service Centre (SSC). Failure to do so may result in late payment fees and interest on the outstanding amount.
