LSS: Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt

Event Description

Hey 1Ls! The LSS is inviting you to join in the annual Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt on Monday, September 8th 2025.

Team up in groups of 6-7 players to complete challenges across UBC campus, starting with check-in at Allard Hall from 4:00-4:30 pm for a 4:30 pm race start time. The hunt will be followed by a reception at the Nest Patio - a great opportunity to interact with lawyers from Stikeman Elliott, unwind with your teammates, and connect with your peers. 

There will be prizes for the winners, including a Spirit Prize for the most outgoing team - so we encourage you to form teams with a name, cheer, costume, etc. in order to have a good shot at the Spirit Prize! Teams will be co-ed, and you can sign up as an individual and be assigned a team to meet new friends, or request to be put on a team to build on the relationships started during Orientation Week! Registration will be open until 5:00pm on September 4th but we encourage you to register early to secure your team. Event participants must complete the following waiver in order to participate in the Scavenger Hunt: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gmk6nVKA5sb5fKfFgZC33UNakVXyuKSk/view?usp=sharing

This waiver must be electronically signed and sent to students@ubclss.com with the subject line “Stikeman Elliott Scavenger Hunt - Waiver.” Registrants who are unable to electronically sign the waiver are asked to print and sign the waiver and bring this with them to check-in on September 8th. Completion will be monitored.

Please bring your ID with you and wear comfortable clothing and good shoes as the hunt requires active challenges. You will be responsible for your own belongings during the course of the hunt.

Additionally, upper year volunteers are needed. You do not need to volunteer to attend the reception. However, spots are limited and priority will be given to volunteers.
