2026 Allard Law Alumni Achievement Awards

Event Description

Every two years, the Allard Law Alumni Achievement Awards offer an opportunity for us to celebrate the accomplishments of just a few of the many remarkable members of our alumni community. The Board of Directors of the Allard Law Alumni Association invites you to join them on April 30, 2026, for a special evening in honour of six of these outstanding individuals:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: The Honourable Wally Oppal, KC (LLB '66)
  • Alumni Award of Distinction: The Honourable Grant Burnyeat (LLB '73) and Shannon Salter, KC (LLB '05)
  • Outstanding Young Alum Award: Chris Heslinga (JD '12)
  • Community Leadership Award: barbara findlay, KC (LLB '76)
  • Alumni Award for Research: Professor Janine Benedet, KC (LLB '93)

The event takes place at the VIFF Centre (1181 Seymour Street) on Thursday, April 30. The doors will open at 5:30pm, the award ceremony begins at 6:15pm and the celebratory reception will run from 7:15pm until 9:00pm. Tickets are $135 each and include two drink tickets and a generous spread of appetizers. Any proceeds after all event costs are accounted for will go towards supporting the Allard Law Alumni Association Student Bursary. We look forward to seeing you on April 30!
