Feleti Teo

Before assuming his current high office, the Honourable Prime Minister of Tuvalu Feleti Teo served as the Executive Director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission. Prior this, his broad range of experience in multilateral organizations included leading roles in the Pacific Islands Development Forum,  the Pacific Islands Forum, and the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency. Before moving to serve in these regional bodies, the Hon. Feleti Teo had a highly distinguished legal career, serving his country as Attorney General. The Honourable Prime Minister is also the current Chairperson of the Pacific Small Islands Developing States (PSIDS) group.


To mark FAO’s 80th Anniversary – a moment of reflection on past and future – the Prime Minister’s lecture will be followed by remarks from a new generation of international lawyers, sharing their perspectives on what lies ahead for international law:
