Class of '97 Reunion
The Peter A. Allard School of Law Class of 1997 will host a twenty year reunion on Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th 2017. Events included a pub night at Mahony & Sons, a sea wall run, a family play and picnic lunch in Stanley Park, and a reception and tour of Allard Hall. View photos from the reunion here.

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Judicial Externship Program: March 24, 2017

The Peter A. Allard School of Law hosted this event in the 4th floor Terrace Lounge at Allard Hall. Students, Alumni/ae, judiciary and faculty members who have contributed to the development and long-term success of the Judicial Externship Program gathered to celebrate its 10 year anniversary. Brexit: Legal Impact and Future Strategies for Canadian Business: February 15, Four Seasons Hotel

The Peter A. Allard School of Law hosted this event featuring Associate Dean Ljiljana Biukovic and alumna Lorna Strong (LLB' 98) who led an in-depth conversation regarding the implications of Brexit for Canadian business and law firms, including those with a presence in the UK. Dr. Biukovic, an expert in international trade and European Union law, and London (UK) based Ms. Strong, lead counsel for HSBC Global Trade & Receivable Finance, provided an overview of the current situation, examined short- and long-term challenges and solutions, and considered the impact on global trade and the economy. This event was co-hosted by the Allard School of Law Centre for Business Law and Alumni Relations.

Celebrating the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies: February 9, Allard Hall, Terrace Lounge

The Peter A. Allard School of Law invited all alumni and supporters of the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies to a special reunion for the occasion of the Centre's 20th anniversary. The Centre recognized Susan Boyd, the inaugural Chair in Feminist Legal Studies, and Debra Parkes, the incoming chair. We also celebrated the students, alumni/ae, and faculty who contribute to feminist legal activities at the law school, in the profession, and the community. Information will be shared about the opportunity to support the ongoing work of the Centre.
